Time goes by so fast. I thought I give an Update where I'm at on my Hoop Journey.
I am Dutch but i will try to I write in English, ( excuse me for any spelling mistakes )
Not all my hooping friends speak Dutch. we are a very small country after all ;-)
This summer was hoop-wise a very inspirational one. I did'nt went to a lot
conventions or workshops but the one I was able to visit was amazing !
We where Lucky to be part of The European Juggling Convention 2015 in Bruneck Italie : http://ejc2015.org/home/
Can't imagine a place with more talent and possibilities of learning different /new
skills then the EJC. (Next year the EJC will be hosted in the Netherlands. Don't miss
out on this opertunity . )
We traveled to Italie with 2 of the most amazing teachers /performers from the US.
I was so exited to get to know them,.. : The ninja Hoop's ( Zach and marria ) !
If you don't know them, check it out on YouTube. They have great tutorials and very entertaining shows together.
They are very passionate and skilled in what they do. I had the honour to show them a bit of maastricht .
Ofcource I toolk them to the LBB ( https://www.facebook.com/culturelevrijplaats ) . A place well know to me,
where I started Hooping and wich is surrounded by so many free, creative people. To be with
the Ninja Hoop's in the big hall of this building where I hooped so many times by myself. It realy was a bit of a dream
come true. Surreal almost. Fan meets idol.. and you know what, they are just people too. :-)
I am a shy girl sometimes, and this was a bit of a obstacle to take.
I know I should'nt but sometimes i can't help myself.
The Ninja Hoop's where my Hooping Idols, and I couldn't be totaly myself around them. But I learned something from
this experience, and for that I'm very gratefull . So thank You Ninja's !!
Blessings and Love to you both. I'm sure we will meet somewhere again.
I wanted to learn Handstands, i was not able to this summer. But now I can say that I CAN stand on my hands and see t
he world upside down, carrying my own weight. Following tips from the Ninja's youtube video : handstands for everyone. but also practecing yoga helped me to build up strenght to be able to do this.
Fire Fire more Fire... This element was also again very important to me. At he EjC we saw a lot of fire play . I got
amazing Fire Fans. I love the way it feels when you play with them. It gives you wings.
we played a lot with fire and with my friends of Fire Troups maastricht & we where part of great free production In liege. : Karbon Kabaret. First time in my life I had to go on a stage with more then 3000 people in front of it. I was not as nervous as I thought I would be. I think it doens'nt matter so much how many people or watching you perform. Sometimes a small group of people can even be more exciting to deal with. But we did it !! together with my fire friends and we had a wonderfull time doing so.
Another thing I wanne share is that I finaly made myself a Fire Hoop SKIRT ! This was a project I was thinking about for a long time. It wasn't that much work to make at all. And I love to spin in it. My FB friends have already seen this vid posted. but here it is again. my 'first burn' tryout with the fireskirt & Fire Hoop.
Update Complete :-) for now. Learning.. everything changes. Thanks for reading. HoopOn. HoopLove Sanna .
